Almost two years ago we began our first children’s class in response to years of requests from parents. We started with one class that soon became full so we established a waiting list. The problem was that our class was very popular and almost no one dropped out. So the waiting list grew and grew because we could just not accept any more children as students … until now.

We are delighted to announce that not only have we added new children’s classes, we have improved our renowned junior program even more. We have limited class sizes to a maximum of eight students, shortened class length slightly in line accordance with the latest research about children’s learning and we’ve broken our class up into three different age groups so we can better tailor our teaching to student’s development levels.

We have retained and refined all of the elements that make our children’s classes unique – a training method that minimizes repetition, an exciting syllabus that engages students with weapons such as the sword, staff and throwing star, the removal of any techniques that are dangerous or unsuitable for children, strategies (physical, verbal and emotional) for dealing with bullies and a full character development program.

The syllabus includes fundamental postures, strikes, kicks, evasion, blocks, methods for landing safely from falls, weapons training and even calming and energising exercises – all in a supportive and non-competitive environment.

Our new classes are on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons so contact us now for a free trial class – before that waiting list starts building again.

May I know the age requirement for the children who can attend your lessons? I have 3 kids who may be interested. Thank you.
